Take two per week & and log them, please. A new week starts on Sunday.
Birthdays
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all our May babies! If it's your birthday this month you may take the birthday card then head here to collect your birthday gifts. Have a great day!
First up, the new event that I have been planning is finally up. Everyone can take the event card, and if you click on it, it will take you to the event page.
There is also a new layout, so take that card as well.
Other updates: Games - Group1, Group 8; Index Freebies.
I'm getting these up a little early, so that I can concentrate on the event that I am planning. Also, I hope you guys can excuse my absence of late.
Everyone may take a card from each deck, and the following people can take an extra card from the deck they donated. Jessica - Malleus Maleficarum, Matty - Hush, Bev - Alexis Bledel (Lorenzo Agius)
ETA: The forms should all be fixed now. However, I didn't receive any level forms for quite some time, so if everyone could drop me a note here with their current level, pls. Also, double check the rewards for Leveling and Mastering in the ABOUT section. There have been some changes.
Sorry guys. I'm not the kind to normally fall off the planet, though I know that it seems like that. My husband was out of work for six weeks due to health reasons and I lost my job. We stayed with my mother in law for a while and school has been absolutely impossible. I have a final in the morning for one of my clinicals and start another one at the end of the month.
I have a bunch of stuff ready for updates, but haven't been able to breath, let alone find time to get them up, not to mention the event that I had planned for this month.
The good news is that Spring Break is next week, and that should give me plenty of time to play catch up, including finally get the March event up. In the meantime, everyone may take any combination of cards totalling 3 (3 regular cards worth 1, 1 card worth 3, 1 card worth 1 and 1 worth 2, whatever).
See you guys this weekend to catch up on everything.
I did make updates last week, though they were mostly behind the scenes so you may not have noticed them. This is going to be an inclusive post, and I may add to it later today as I think of things.
All of the games were put into active status last weekend. Some of them may have older versions of the games. I will now be starting to update the different sections. Feel free to suggest a game if you would like.
All of the events and layouts cards have been updated. That being said, I have a few new ones for you. Everyone may take the following:
Also, since we are resuming normal play, the birthday and slots cards have been removed from the special randomizer and can now only be earned through the usual ways or by buying them with tokens.
There have been a lot of updates on the forum, including a note about changes to the donations guidelines.
New Decks:
Everyone may take 1 card from this deck. Kari may take two for making it.
I have several more decks that I had planned to include in this update, but I got interrupted by an unexpected trip up to my mother-in-law's - who doesn't have internet. Expect a large update this coming weekend, including a new event.
The updates that I was working, including the new layout and everything are on my home computer. I may be able to salvage/reconstruct some of it, but I am currently without power due to being in a disaster area as a result of the recent ice storms.
Yesterday, as I was driving by the armoury at the college, I saw the National Guard being mobilized. Today, FEMA was there. I am currently at hastings, because I have no power at the house, and as such no internet or anything - the horror *gasp*
Worse than that - we have no hot water. I filled the tub with water this morning to take a bath/shower, and geez that was friggen cold. I had to have DH help to wash my hair, because the water was too damn cold to do that to myself. And, if you ever see me first thing in the morning, you know that washing my hair is a must. I have that baby fine hair that after a night's sleep will give Medusa a run for her money.
I work in a motel and can't get a room in this town any more than anyone else - not even for a few hours to shower. The power people have started to arrive and get things back on, and one of them told me that they are expected to be here about 6 weeks.
We are looking at hurricane level devestation here from the ice storms. The thing is that we weren't even the worst hit. The area's north of here are even worse. My in-laws just over the Missouri border are completely without power too, and are cuddling together the best that they can - their entire town is done. Around here, at least there are some places to go. We are currently at Hastings, and the motels and stuff still have power, it's mostly residential areas that are affected. It's damn cold. Everything in our fridge will have to be trashed. Money is tight and it is damn cold, but we are getting by.
Just keep the people in this area in your thoughts if you can. There is some disaster relief going on and a few shelters, but i don't really know the details. Mostly everyone just wants their power back. We are all trying to stay warm. Luckily, it is above freezing today, if barely (33-35 degrees F), and the ice is beginning to melt, but the power lines are all down.
